Abstract
The research aims to demonstrate the role of artificial intelligence programs in developing modern trends in art education, identifying aspects of benefiting from artificial intelligence technologies in the field of art education, and clarifying artificial intelligence applications that can be used in the field of art education. As an attempt to employ artificial intelligence technologies in art education, the researchers addressed the concept, features, importance, levels of artificial intelligence and its applications and types of technologies represented (3D display, neural transmission pattern, deep learning in graphics..etc.) and how to help the artist and save effort and time, in addition to mentioning some works designed using artificial intelligence technologies, with mentioning some artists who support the entry of artificial intelligence and support it and use it in their artistic works. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach: in the theoretical framework and collecting data and information, analyzing and classifying them by studying previous research on the subject of art education and artificial intelligence. To complete the research, a questionnaire was designed in Google Form and answered by (140) students from the Open College of Education/Al-Qudsiyah University. The most important results were that 92.86% agreed that “artificial intelligence technologies have a great ability to develop art education methods” and 90% wish to attend advanced training programs to benefit from artificial intelligence programs and applications in art education” and 88.57% agreed that “the use of artificial intelligence technologies motivates students and artists to use it” and 85.71% agreed that “artificial intelligence technology applications contribute to improving the pace of artistic production” and 81.43 “are aware of artificial intelligence technologies used in art education” and 30% of students are aware of the technology of converting a hand-drawn image into a digital image” and 24.29% are aware of the entry of artificial intelligence into art education” and 22.86% have used “artificial intelligence applications in artistic production” and 24.29% with the same percentage of students have previously used one of the sites to convert text to an image. The most important conclusions reached are that artificial intelligence is a tool that can be used as an experiment for modern methods and its use does not cancel out the artist, but rather mixing art production with artificial intelligence is a creative and distinctive work. The most important recommendations reached by the study are holding seminars, conferences and workshops on the subject of artificial intelligence and its standards and the means of employing it in art education, providing incentives and support for students who are able to combine artificial intelligence techniques with their creativity as artists.
