Abstract
This research examines the aesthetics of materialist philosophy in the structure of Iraqi theatrical performance. It consists of four chapters. The first chapter, "The Methodological Framework of the Research," is preceded by the research problem, which is based on the following question: What are the aesthetics of materialist philosophy in the structure of Iraqi theatrical performance? The importance of the current research lies in its exploration of "materialism" and the specific propositions and ideas related to and intertwined with theater and its applications in Iraqi theatrical performance. The need for it lies in its usefulness to researchers and students in institutes and colleges of fine arts and those working in the field of theatrical art. The research objective is to: identify the aesthetics of materialist philosophy in the structure of Iraqi theatrical performance.
The chapter concludes with a definition of the most important terms mentioned in the research title. The second chapter, entitled "Theoretical Framework," includes two topics titled as follows:
The First Topic: Materialism According to the Philosophical Perspective.
The second section: The aesthetics of materiality in the structure of global and Arab theatrical performance.
The chapter concluded with indicators resulting from the theoretical framework and previous studies. The third chapter included the research procedures, namely the research community, which included a single research sample, which served as a model for the research. The research sample was limited to the play "Female Performance," written by Mithal Ghazi and directed by Sinan Al-Azzawi, released in 2013. At the end of this research, the researcher presented the results that emerged from the analysis of the research sample. Based on these aforementioned results, the researcher drew some conclusions. She then presented a set of recommendations, accompanied by some suggestions that she found complementary to the research. This was done in the fourth chapter of this research. The researcher did not neglect to mention the list of sources relied upon in this study.
