Abstract
This research aims to diagnose the level of strategic symmetry as a means of improving the strategic performance of faculty members in higher education institutions and to demonstrate the extent of strategic symmetry, and the importance of integrating a person’s ideas, values, and ethical habits with the culture and work style of the institution in order to identify and empower the institution in which he works and in order to achieve strategic performance. Optimal according to environmental and economic developments and at a similar rate to competitors, the research question revolves around asking several research questions, the most important of which are:
Does the administration of the College of Engineering under study have dimensions of strategic similarity?
What is the nature of the correlation and impact relationship between the strategic analogy in terms of dimensions and strategic performance at the College of Engineering, the field of research?
What is the importance of the variables of strategic analogy and strategic performance in the educational institution under investigation?
The research used the descriptive analytical method to cover theoretical frameworks and collect, arrange, preserve, and summarize data. The research field at the University of Kufa is represented by its College of Engineering, and by using the questionnaire form for the field framework, by analyzing (75) questionnaires that were distributed to a sample of the teaching staff in the College of Engineering at the University of Kufa, and by using a number of statistical methods necessary to analyze and process the data to reach the opinions of the researched individuals regarding The questionnaire paragraphs, and in light of the statistical results, the research reached the teaching staff, the most important of which were: The existence of significant effects of strategic similarity in improving strategic performance at the general and sub-variable levels, in addition to the ability of the College of Engineering as a research field to deal with environmental variables at all levels and the good response rate to them, enables it to develop a proactive strategy and this places the institution in a position of strength and confrontation.
