Abstract
In spite of the technological development in the transportation sector and the continuous growth of the world's population, the idea of improving transportation systems and managing them in an adaptive and sustainable way was a priority for thinking in order to relieve pressure on infrastructure, especially the transportation sector, with the high rate of urban growth and to solve it quickly, comfortably and safely, in a way that reduces energy consumption and congestion. Hence, the research objective came (by working with future changes in transportation services through the gradual and appropriate development of the infrastructure network and finding an effective solution for transportation systems in a way that achieves adaptation in cities, and this increases and interacts in an integrated way within cities to be smart by creating an integrated smart infrastructure system), so the general research problem was (by investigating a clear statement of the concept of adaptive transportation in smart cities through the integration of development with it), and the research problem (the cognitive need for a method that clarifies the mechanisms of adaptive transportation in cities through the integration of the impact of development in its services to reach adaptive transportation systems that achieve the concept of intelligence in cities), and the research assumed (that development in smart cities is achieved in an integrated manner through the impact of transportation services in them in an intelligent manner to reach adaptive and comfortable transportation systems), and thus the research design plan and methodology are to review the concept of these mechanisms and the possibility of achieving them in cities by reviewing samples of examples and analyzing them and coming up with indicators that can be applied in local cities to test the hypothesis and reach the most prominent results, conclusions for the research.
