Abstract
Rejection is one of the basic features of human art, as it can be traced back to ancient times, as we find there is a rejection at every stage of time of the stage that preceded it based on the system of intellectual transformation that rejects the merits of some and adopts others that support its vision and goals, and this continued through a number of intellectual transformations that It cast astray on the aesthetic values, formal systems, and contents in art.
The researchers defined the problem of the current research with the following question:
Is there a representation of rejection in modern plastic art? What is this representation and at what level is it achieved?
Thus, the goal of the research was defined as (to know the representations of rejection in modern plastic art at the level of form and technique).
The theoretical framework came in the second chapter and consisted of two axes. The first axis was entitled (Rejection - A Conceptual Approach), then the second axis was entitled (Techniques of Display in Modern Art).
The third chapter included the research procedures, which included the research community and the research sample, then an analytical reading of the artistic works
The fourth chapter came (research results and conclusions), the most prominent of which were: -
Diversity and pluralism: The rejection of prevailing aesthetic standards led to the emergence of great diversity in modern art, as styles, techniques and themes varied.
Experimentation: The rejection of prevailing artistic standards encouraged artists to experiment and create good methods to express their ideas.
- Openness to external influences: - Rejection of prevailing artistic standards opens the door for artists to learn about other cultures and benefit from their experiences.
Then the research ended with a list of sources and references and a summary of the research in English.
