Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify some types of speed and accuracy of the performance of the front and back ground strikes in tennis ball, as well as to find the relationship between some types of speed and accuracy of the performance of the front and back ground strikes in tennis among the members of the research sample. As the research sample consisted of second-stage students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, with (20) players, as well as the use of appropriate means, tools, and devices, and an exploratory experiment was conducted, as well as conducting research tests, then the data was unloaded and processed statistically. And then presented, analyzed and discussed, and the researchers reached several conclusions, namely:

The research sample did not enjoy a level of motor speed compatible with the performance of the front and back ground strikes in tennis for the research sample.
The research sample did not enjoy a level of transitional speed compatible with the performance of the front and back ground strikes in tennis for the research sample.

Through the conclusions reached, the researcher recommends:

The need to ensure speed training of all kinds by those in charge of the educational and training process.
The use of research tests by those in charge at the beginning of the educational and training process.
Conducting similar research on different samples and activities.
