Abstract
The importance of raising the level of learning for fencing, especially epee, was evident by using scientific techniques based on theories that have been tested and obtained their results in education, and this is what helped us use them in raising the level of beginner learners in sports, especially fencing.
The direct motor learning method is one of the self-learning methods that helps the learner in motor performance and correct the course of the skill. After applying the theory of recall planning to him, similar movements will be taught, thus reducing time and effort in education. The research problem was to address the weakness and fluctuation in the level of teaching basic skills in the epee weapon due to reliance on educational methods that are not in line with scientific development in the use of modern methods and in accordance with correct learning theories. The experimental approach was used in the style of equal groups (control and experimental), and the research sample was chosen, which were third-year students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra. Tests for basic skills with the epee weapon were used, exploratory experiments were conducted, and the main experiment was applied, which is performing educational exercises in a direct motor learning method. According to the theory of (recall scheme).In light of this, the most important conclusions were obtained:
1-The direct motor learning method, according to the theory of (recall scheme), achieved the learning objectives in teaching some basic offensive skills with the epee weapon to students. The most important recommendations were: 2- Adopting the direct motor learning method according to the theory of (recall scheme), as it is one of the successful methods in teaching some basic offensive skills with the epee weapon to students.
