Abstract

With the great progress of technology, we need a revolution in education to keep pace with this development. This study aims to highlight the importance of identifying artificial intelligence systems in the development of the educational process, which forced it to use E-Learning and distance learning as solutions ready and on the table to face crises such as the challenges of  (COVID-19). The first of these future trends is the expansion of the use of e-learning and artificial intelligence technologies. The theoretical and intellectual framework of artificial intelligence was addressed. An open questionnaire was designed to determine the most important problems and challenges facing the educational process and the role of artificial intelligence applications in facing them. It was presented to some (100) officials in the educational process of university and school education. The most important finding of this study is the inability to deny the contribution of artificial intelligence In upgrading and developing education through artificial intelligence applications used in education from smart content, smart education systems, virtual reality, and augmented reality that has been integrated into distance education to simulate the experience of reality. The necessity of adopting some applications of artificial intelligence in the educational process, spreading the technological culture among the educational circles, and raising the awareness of educational institutions and society about the positive effects of artificial intelligence.
