Abstract

The subject of E-learning is considered as one of the topics that has taken a wide space due to its importance at the present time. The University of Mosul has embarked on implementing the e-learning system as it is for Iraqi universities as an alternative system to traditional education in the context of confronting the Corona pandemic. Every new applied system especially for the first time without a trial period to implement the system must face some problems and challenges that may limit the success of this system and it was necessary to diagnose the main areas that need special attention by the university senior management, which are represented by the critical success factors to implement the e-learning system at the university. Accordingly, the present study is designed to determine the extent to which the selected factors were represented in the current study (represented by factors related to the student, factors related to information and communication technology, factors related to teaching, factors related to informational content, and factors related to the institution "university") for the operative structure of the critical success factors, as well as identifying the level of availability of critical success factors in the education system at the University of Mosul from the point of view of the faculty members. The data collection tool consisted of a questionnaire form that was distributed electronically and the total sample size is (421). The reason for that is to make a comparison between their answers and to identify the significant differences in the respondents' responses to critical success factors because of the difference in specialization. The data were analyzed using the confirmatory operative factor analysis method, and the t-test method for the independent samples. The results of the analysis showed that the measurements model used in this study is well matched, so it is a clear indication of the possibility of this model in measuring the critical success factors of the e-learning system.
