Abstract

The research aims to shed light on how to use the PATROL model to evaluate the performance of banks and give a clear picture of performance and early detection of defects, as well as to show strengths and weaknesses in the bank’s performance, and thus access to a sound banking sector that preserves the rights of depositors and shareholders, and thus ensures the safety of implementing policies The financial and monetary aspects of the state, to contribute to the development of the national economy. The research community consisted of private Islamic banks listed in the Iraq Stock Exchange, while the research sample included (3) banks for the period from (2011-2017), and to achieve the objectives of the research, the analytical method was used to find out how to benefit from the (PATROL) model to evaluate the performance of banks, The research resulted in several conclusions, the most important of which is the possibility of using the PATROL model in evaluating the performance of the research sample banks and arranging them in terms of performance, that is, starting with the banks that achieved the best performance and ending with the least performing banks in the sense of their order in descending order, and in light of the conclusions a set of recommendations was formulated, the most important of which is to rely on The (PATROL) model in evaluating the performance of banks by the Central Bank of Iraq in the event of carrying out the tasks of monitoring performance, as this model combines financial and non-financial variables.
